Hill. <br /> (6) Objections were made to renovation of an older <br /> house due to inadequate parking space and inaccessibility <br /> for older adults. <br /> (7) Objections were made to locations on Franklin <br /> street due to traffic problems. <br /> (8) A member of the Board of Aldermen indicated that <br /> governmental units needed more specific plans as to needed <br /> space and function of the Senior Centex'. <br /> (9) It was suggested that input from older adults <br /> was essential to planning a Senior Center. There was concern <br /> expressed about the number of low income minority who were <br /> on the board of the Council on Aging. <br /> (10) One gentleman wanted assurance that increased <br /> populations of older adults in Chapel Hill were .included <br /> in long range planning. <br /> (11) There was a suggestion that satelite centers <br /> include living space for older adults including areas for <br /> gardening during spring and simper. <br /> (12) Persons from Carrboro indicated that they panted <br /> their oven satelite location and that they did not wish to <br /> travel to Chapel Hill for services. <br /> Public hearings were held on January 19, January 22, and Marca 27, 1979. <br />
