MINUTES <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> MAY 31, 1979 <br /> The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special session on <br /> Thursday, May 31, 1979, at 7:30 p.m., in the Lincoln Center, on Merritt <br /> Mill Road in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. <br /> t <br /> Commissioners present: Commissioner Richard Whitted, Chairman, <br /> and Commissioners Norman Walker, Norman Gustaveson, Anne Barnes and <br /> Don Willhoit. <br /> The purpose of the meeting was to allow the Board of Commissioners <br /> and members of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro School Board an opportunity to <br /> hold a work session to discuss the Chapel Hill-Carrboro city school system's <br /> 1979-80 current expense budget, capital outlay budget for 1979-80 and <br /> a five year capital outlay budget. <br /> Chapel Hill-Carrboro School Board members present: Ms. Phyllis <br /> Sockwell, Chairperson, and Mr. Ed Caldwell, Ms. Marge Hill , Mr. Jim Riddle <br /> and Ms. Verla Insko. <br /> Ms. Sockwell, Dr. Robert Hanes and Ms. Carol Freeman reviewed the <br /> budgets and answered questions raised by the Board of Commissioners. <br /> The Board of Commissioners took no official action during this <br /> work session. <br /> At the end of the work session„ Commissioner Walker moved, <br /> seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, the meeting be adjourned. <br /> Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br /> i ?. .F�t y <br /> 'Richard 8.
