The Clerk submits minutes of Board meetings held August 28, 1978, May..10, ..1979, <br /> May 15, 1979 (2 meetings) and May 22, 1979. <br /> 4. Betty Thigpen, representing the Orange County Recreation Department, will review <br /> a Youth Involvement Week Program being sponsored by that department and introduce <br /> the program's participants. <br /> 5. The Board proclaims the week of May 28 through June 3, 1979 Vietnam Veterans Week. <br /> 6. The Board calls upon citizens of Orange County to nominate Vietnamese Veterans who <br /> rendered outstanding service for special Outstanding Community Achievement Awards. <br /> 7. The Hillsborough Merchants Association requests a permit from the Board of Commis- <br /> sioners to conduct a fireworks display in Hillsborough on the Fourth of July. <br /> 8. Appointments: <br /> A. Six .vacancies exist on the Commission for Women. <br /> B. The General Assembly has enacted legislation increasing membership on the <br /> county's ABC Board from three to five. <br /> 9. The Board acknowledges receipt of a Secondary Road Addition Investigation 'Report <br /> dealing with Springview Trail and Forest Ridge Place in Meadow Estates Subdivision <br /> of Eno Township. <br /> 10. The Manager recommends the Board accept a report from the Community Development <br /> Task Force concerning just compensation for ,eleven water and sewer easements on <br /> Old Cornwallis Road and Old Cedar Grove Road. <br /> 11. Shannon Julian, Chairman of the Orange County Industrial Facilities and Pollution <br /> Control Financing Authority, will discuss with the Board a proposed budget for <br /> the Authority as well as review possible roles for this group. . <br /> 12. The Chairman of the Board of Health and the Health Director will review a proposed <br /> Health Department budget for the 1979-80 fiscal year. <br /> 13. Consideration of a report developed by the Board's Task Force for Highway <br /> Improvement for presentation at the Department of Transportation's public <br /> hearing- in Yanceyville on June 5, 1979. <br />
