429 <br /> MINUTES <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> MAY 24, 1979 <br /> The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special session on <br /> h <br /> Thursday, May 24, 1979, at 7:30 p.m. , in the Commissioners Room, of the <br /> Orange County Courthouse, in Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br /> Commissioners present: Commissioner Richard Whitted, Chairman, <br /> and Commissioners Anne Barnes, Norman Walker, Norman Gustaveson and <br /> Don Willhoit. <br /> This was a work session to review the Orange County School 's current <br /> expense budget, capital outlay budget and five-year plan. <br /> Mr. Tom Rickman reviewed the budget proposals and he and Mr. Dan <br /> Lunsford and Mr. Mike Simmons answered questions. Orange County School <br /> Board members present included: Mr. Oscar Compton, Chairman, and <br /> Mr. Ken Collins, Mr. James Freeland, Mr. John Thomas Walker, Mr. Norman <br /> Haithcock and Mr. Max Kennedy. <br /> The Board of Commissioners requested the School Board submit a <br /> "B" budget for all budgetary requests above the 7 percent guideline. <br /> The Board took no official action during this work session. <br /> Richard_.
