.-..._,_,....,... <br /> 3.0 ADOPTION GUIDELINES <br /> Page 5 <br /> 3.1 All animals adopted mast be neutered or spayed. No exceptions. <br /> 3.2 Animals will be adopted to homes as family pets or companion <br /> animals. No animals will be adopted solely for use as guard dogs, <br /> hunters, or mousers. Dogs shall be adopted only to homes where <br /> there is suitable exercise area and suitable shelter. Shelter <br /> manager or designated representative of the shelter may require <br /> an in-home visitation prior to adoption. <br /> 3.3 No animals adopted to residences which stipulate NO PETS. In <br /> cases where pet deposits are required, proof of deposit must be <br /> shown at shelter PRIOR to adoption. <br /> 3.4 Puppies to homes only where owner is available to care for ,puppies <br /> needs during the day. <br /> 3.5 No animals adopted to homes with children unless children are present <br /> at the shelter and/or at the shelter manager's discretion. <br /> 3.6 No cats or kittens adopted to home where either a licensed graduate <br /> veterinarian has diagnosed or owner has observed symptoms in own <br /> cat(s) which could indicate feline leukemia or feline infectious, <br /> peritonitis within 3 months prior to adoption from the shelter. <br /> 3,7 Animals adopted as "gifts" only when individual in whose home the <br /> animal will live is present at the shelter and is willing to accept <br /> full responsibility for the animal according to the shelter guidelines. <br /> 3.6 Persons adopting animals from the shelter must be of legal age, <br /> e <br />
