Work closely with and support school systems interested in de- <br /> veloping and implementing a family life education curriculum. <br /> A. Illustrate the need of a family life enrichment. <br /> 1. Use relevant statistical data with administrators, teachers, <br /> counselors, and parents. <br /> B. Provide technical assistance to teachers in implementing a <br /> family life education curriculum, <br /> 1. Assist in teaching classes when appropriate. <br /> 2. Help teachers to locate resources -- persons and materials. <br /> 3. Demonstrate to teachers innovative teaching techniques to <br /> use with students. <br /> C. Assist the school in gaining parental support for family life <br /> education. <br /> 1. Meet with PTA's. <br /> V. Create an awareness and understanding as to the goals of the family <br /> planning program within the community. <br /> A. Provide informational porgrams for various community, civic, <br /> and policy making groups. <br /> B. Make use of and distribute written materials and other audio- <br /> visuals. <br /> C. Assist the FP Advisory Council to impact this need. <br /> VI. Explore ways to obtain more male involvement in the program. <br /> A. Work with school guidance counselors in setting up peer <br /> counselor activities. <br /> 1. Provide training to students interested in peer counseling. <br /> C. Family Planning Teen Pro am <br /> Coal: To provide area teens with educational experiences through which <br /> they can acquire the necessary support skills, and kno:aledge <br /> needed for responsible sexual decision making. <br /> Objectives: <br /> I. Continue efforts to establish a Teen Health Council(s) to advise <br /> the department of needs and interests of teens. <br /> A.
