1. yp es o clinics, Schedules & Location
clinic days with extended hours from 8:00 •- 5:30 are held
each week, one day at the Hillsborough office and one at the Chapel
Hill office. Any type of F.P, patient can be seen at any time
during the clinic day with the exception of new enrollees who are
scheduled to come for a special orientation and educational session.
Special Teen Clinics were held during October, 1975 through
January 1979 during late afternoon hours (Prom 3 P.M, - 5 P.M.).
Despite publicity and encouragement to attend these special•clinics
our teenage clients prefer to attend the regular.clinic during mid--
morning hours: After this experience, the administration decided
to combine the teen and regular clinic and to extend the clinic
hours. In this fashion, we hope not only to provide teens with a
unique, meaningful educational session, but also to provide working
women better access to our clinics by longer operational hours.
lead nurse informs the patient by phone call, letter or personal
visit and the patient is given the option of choosing a referral
to an appropriate private physician, returning to us for certain
further evaluations or referral to a speciality clinic at a medical
center.
Services are available to anyone with no financial or referral
requirements and without regard to race, color, national origin,
religion, creed, age, sex, marital status, or parental consent for
those age 12 and over. It is our intention to protect the dignity
of the individual and ensure the privacy and confidentiality of
the encounter, to the extent adequate space is provided. Grange
County is presently acting to create adequate space for the Health
Department. The participants are not subjected to coercion to re-
