Agenda <br /> Page 2 <br /> February 5, 1979 <br /> 8. The Humaq Services Planning Committee submits a proposal for establishment <br /> of a per anent Human Services Advisory Commission. A committee <br /> representative will comment. <br /> 9. `The secopd reading of an ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance and <br /> Resoluti n to Create a Recreation and Parks Council of Orange County." <br /> 10. The Board of Commissioners should propose possible meeting dates <br /> to the governing boards of Chapel Hill and Carrboro to discuss service <br /> area of the various recreation departments. <br /> 11. The Erosion Control Officer will review a memorandum concerning monitoring <br /> projects currently exempt from provisions of the county's ordinance. <br /> 12. "The Mana er recommends the Board enter into an agreement with MICA <br /> for selected management services. <br /> 13. The Coun y Attorney has filed a Memorandum of Employment dealing with <br /> the scope of and compensation for services provided the county by his <br /> firm. Des the Board desire to review this memorandum. <br /> 14. The Tax Ioilector reports unpaid taxes secured by liens on real property <br /> on January 31st to be $593,626.54. <br /> 15. The Tax ollector recommends the Board set the first Monday in June <br /> as the date for the county's tax lien sale. <br /> 16. The Community Development Task Force recommends: <br /> A. The Board of Commissioners apply for the maximum amount of clean <br /> water bond funds possible and use these funds to complete the <br /> Community Development Project proposed for the Northern Fairview <br /> community, <br /> B. If any clean water funds remain after the Community Development <br /> project is completed, these funds should be used to expand the <br /> project dnd recoil ends: <br /> Two fire hydrants be placed on Faucette Mill Road <br /> just north of Highway 70. <br /> b. A six inch water line and two fire hydrants be <br /> installed along U.S. 70 between Cornwallis Road <br /> and Faucette Mill Road. <br /> c. A six inch .. water line with fire hydrants be <br /> placed along 0ld McAdam Road. <br /> Providing services in any areas the Board selects. <br />
