Whitted, presiding, and <br /> Commissioners Norman Gustaveson, Donald Willhoit, <br /> and Jan Pinney <br /> Absent: Commissioner Norman !Talker <br /> On November 6, 1978, at the Commissioners regular <br /> meeting this resolution was passed on first reading upon the aye <br /> votes of Commissioners Gustaveson, Whitted, and Willhoit. <br /> Commissioner Gustaveson introduced, on second reading, the <br /> following resolution: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Orange <br /> County: <br /> Section I. A need exists to establish the ORANGE COUNTY HEALTH <br /> AND MEDICAL CARE ADVISORY COUNCIL in order to compliment and <br /> strengthen the activities and functions of the Orange County <br /> Board of Health, the Capital Health Systems Agency, the Orange- <br /> Chatham Comprehensive Health Services, the Durham-Orange County <br /> Medical Society, any and all medical and hospital associations <br /> active in Orange County, and any other groups interested in <br /> the problems of health and medical care delivery in Orange <br /> County. There is further a need to tabulate and make known the <br /> various medical care facilities and services available to the <br /> people of Orange County and their elected representatives in <br /> their efforts to meet the health and medical care needs of all <br /> .OLEMAN.BERNHOLZ <br /> &DICKERSON County residents. <br /> ATTORNEYS AT LAW <br /> CHAPEL HILL.N.C. <br /> ,IILLSBOROUGH.N.C. Section II. The function of the COUNCIL will be to work <br /> closely with the Orange County Health Department, the Capital <br /> Health Systems Agency, and all other professional and consumer <br /> organizations interested in and serving health needs in Orange <br /> County in defining as precisely as possible the health and <br />
