76 t <br /> c <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST MADE <br /> BY THE TOWN OF CHAPEL HILL TO ORANGE <br /> COUNTY FOR AN EXTENSION OF EXTRATER- <br /> RITORIAL PLANNING JURISDICTION <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Orange, <br /> North Carolina, met in regular session at the Commmissioners' <br /> Room at the County Courthouse in Hillsborough, North Carolina, <br /> the regular place of meeting at 7:30P,M. , on October 23 ,1978. <br /> Present: Chairman Richard E. Whitted presiding, and <br /> Commissioners Jan Pinney, Donald Willhoit, Norman Walker and Norman <br /> Gustaveson <br /> Absent: None <br /> Commissioner Norman Gustaveson introduced the <br /> j� <br /> following resolution: J <br /> I <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the <br /> County of Orange: <br /> Section I. The Town of Chapel Hill, after due consider- <br /> ation of the present and future planning needs of the To has ([ <br /> determined that it can now, or in the future, provide urban <br /> services to the area described in Section II and that there is <br /> now and will be in the future a demand by the inhabitants of the <br /> area for urban services. Further, the inhabitants of the area <br /> are thought to be oriented generally towards the flown of <br /> Chapel Hill for employment, services, recreation and the lake. <br /> Section II. Provided the Town of Chapel Hill, by <br /> Resolution duly adopted, pursuant to N. C. Gen.
