AGENDA ATTACHMENT IX <br /> COUNTY PERSONNEL ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br /> The County Personnel Ordinance carries no reference to persons <br /> employed through the CETA program. As these persons are County employees <br /> the presumption therefore is, they would be afforded the same fringe benefits <br /> as other County employees. Federal regulations however will not allow re <br /> imbursement to the County for payments made into a retirement system for <br /> program partiIcipants. <br /> The Manager recommends a section be added to the personnel ordinance <br /> specifically stating CETA program participants shall not become members of <br /> the Local Governmental Employees' Retirement System <br /> I <br />
