IThe Board asked the .staff to prepare an analysis of the square f9otage needed at the Northside Complex to house a full service coon y facility. The County should also attempt to mesh both the cap' tal outlay needs of the two school systems with the capital outl y needs of the County. The staff was also asked to gather data egarding the Cedar Grove School Building to see what could be hou ed in that structure. The �inance officer proposed to the Board a long range budget docum nt for Capital Outlay Planning in the. County, . He suggested th:t the document be adopted at' some time other then �n June and it would be intergrated with the priorities of the school system. Mr. Evans was asked to proceed with developing such a budget. Legi lative Action The Board should schedule a meeting before January, 1479 to meet with th Congressional delegation to talk about County needs as related t mandated programs passed down through the General Assembly. T e Board spoke of developing a package of concerns to be presented at the August County Commissioners ConVenti,on which then would be passed on to the legislators. Animal Shelter Operations -- Staff will prepare a memorandum of the strengths and weak- nesses of having the animal shelter operated by the ,A,n.imal Protec- tion Society. Fees for Service•:in the Health and Plannin Department This item will be included on the July 24th agenda for full discussion and action. The Board .instructed the Clerk to asked Mr. Walker if he had additional items of concern that he wished to add to the above list.
