A DILL TO BE ENTITLED <br /> AN ACT TO 110111E FOR STAGGERED TERCIS FOR BOARD OF HEALTH MEMBERS <br /> The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: <br /> Section I. Subsection (e) of G.S. 130-13, is hereby amended by <br /> adding the following: <br /> "Upon the expiration of the terms of the board of health members in <br /> those counties where the terms of office of board of health members expire <br /> at the same time, the county commissioners shall appoint two board members <br /> to serve for one year; three to serve for two years; and the remainder to <br /> serve for three years. Upon the expiration of these terms, their successors <br /> shall be appointed to terms of three years." <br /> Sec. 2. G.S. 130-14.1 is hereby amended by adding the following: <br /> "When a county withdraws from a district health department, the county <br /> commissioners shall appoint two board of health members to serve for one <br /> year; two members to serve for two years; and the remainder to serve for <br /> three years. Upon the termination of the terms of these initial board <br /> of health members, their successors shall be appointed to terms of three <br /> years," <br /> SPc• 3.
