i <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County, under the provisions of the Compre- <br /> hensive Employment and Training Act of 1973, entered <br /> into a contract establishing a Consortium for the <br /> purpose of implementing the Comprehensive Employment <br /> and Training Act of 1973; and <br /> WHEREAS, [finder the providions of said Contract, Durham-Orange <br /> Employment and Training Service is charged with the <br /> ;responsibility of providing job training and employ- <br /> tnnt opportunities for economically disadvantaged, <br /> eMployed and under.-employed persons, and to insure <br /> that training and other services lead to maximum <br /> employment appnrtunities; and <br /> WHEREAS, n September 30, 1978, the Durham-Orange Employment <br /> Ind Training Consortium Agreement shall expire. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT on Monday, May 1, 1978, the <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners did unanimously <br /> approve the extension of the current Durham-Orange <br /> mployment and Training Consortium Agreement for one <br /> ear, and extending from October 1, 1978 to September 30, <br /> 979. <br /> County of Orange <br /> State of Noth Carolina <br /> I, AGA HA JOHNSON, Clerk to the Orange'-County <br /> Board of <br /> Commissione s, do hereby CERTIFY that the foregoing action was <br /> taken by the Orange County Board of Commissioners at their <br /> regular monthly meeting of May 1, 1978. <br /> WITNESS my Hand and Seal of said Board of Commissioners <br /> this the 2nd day of May, 1978. <br /> Aga a Johns , Clerk— _ <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />
