AGENDA ATTACHMENT VI 13 <br /> April 21, 1918 <br /> Memo To: Prange County Board of Commissioners <br /> From: Nea� Evans, Finance Director <br /> Subject: �roposed Budget Amendment <br /> The attached proposed budget amendments include the following items: <br /> 1) The tax foreclosure item relates to County's cost of foreclosing <br /> I <br /> n taxes a portion of this cost goes immediately to tax revenue <br /> and is recovered. It is proposed that this come from contingency. <br /> 2) Rata Processing realignment of costs to reflect the contractural <br /> decisions approved by the Commission for purchase of capital equip- <br /> ment and software rather than leasing these items, <br /> 3) The sales tax item is to increase the amount available. The County <br /> as begun to pay use tax on out-of-state purchases as required by <br /> law. These payments made directly to the State, as well as a <br /> law budget estimate have caused the increased requirement, This <br /> is requested from contingency and will be returned to us in next <br /> ;ovide ar's revenues. <br /> 4) hool Health is an additional amount received for-the State to <br /> professional dental services to school children and 100% <br /> revenue is shown. <br /> Alcoholic Rehabilitation item is merely to correct the original budget <br /> whieh appropriated $40,000 but estimated only$32,000 for revenue. The <br /> additional B4O00 was actually collected in the prior year but reserved. <br /> The effect f this is to increase contingency by$8,000. <br />
