Pf
AGENDA ATTACHMENT II ' ✓ J
SOME PROPOSED RENOVATIONS AT NORTHSIDE
MULTIPURPOSE CENTER BUILDING
Earlier!this month the Board authorized the Manager to obtain an
engineering analysis of the Multipurpose Center building located on the
Northside S hool site in Chapel Hill, This work is in progress and we
should have a written report by mid May.
Prior t authorizing this study the Board received a list of repairs
suggested b Mr, dames Srebo, President of the Student Health Action Committee,
Our staff has looked at the items on this list. They feel they can perform
many of these repairs with our forces, Materials necessary for us to do this
work will cost roughly$2,600, Other items on this list because of time limitati
on some of ur key people, should be contracted out. If contracted out these ite
should cost about$4,000, We further estimate it would cost roughly$8,500 to
contract th entire package,
These i ms, as they relate entirely to the Health Clinic, are not a complete
list of the epairs necessary here. Items such as a new roof and insulation shou
be done if w propose to utilize this structure for any significant period of tim
as heating bills are enormous and the roof will be failing very soon,
