The Board iscussed the Citizen Participation Task Force and decided 8. that agencies within the County should appoint individuals to serve on th 9. task force. Those agencies being, the Health Board, Hillsborough Advisory 10. Council, JOCCA, a member from the old Community Development Task Force and 11. members from the Planning Board and the Hillsborough Town Board, as well 12. as persons from the Northern Fairview area. 13 . The Chairman asked the Board to discuss the Multi-Purpose Center' s 18. renovation at the Northside School site. 19. Commissione Willhoit reminded the Board of two list of items which 20 . needed to be done to the building. He suggested that an architect be aske 21. to look at the building and to give an estimate of the cost of renovation 22 . if renovation is possible. 23 . Commissioner Willhoit then moved that the County Manager contact an 24. architect to see if the Multi-purpose Center in Chapel. Hill is worth renov 25 . tion. Commissioner Gustaveson seconded the motion. 26. Commissioner Pinney asked that this item be tabled until a later time 27. Commissioner Walter seconded the motion of Commissioner Pinney. The Chair 28. man called for a vote on the motion. Voting aye were Commissioners Walker 29. and Pinney. Voting nay were Commissioners Gustaveson, Willhoit and Whittet 30. The motion was d clared failed. Further di's ussion ensued.
