The County Manager was authorized to explore this project further wit 7 . the other governmental units , and bring his findings back to the Board. 8. The Board dismissed for lunch at this point in the meeting. 9 . Following the .lunch break, the Chairman referred to Item 13 : Plats . 10. The Chairm n recognized Eddie Kirk from the Planning Staff who pre- 11. sented the mind subdivision plat of Jean Andrews Earnhardt. 12. Mr. Kirk stated this land is located off of Old Highway 86 , north of 13. Calvander. Approximately 2 acres is being divided from a larger tract. 14, Ms. Earnhardt is requesting two variances from standard procedure : 1) Tha 15. access be provided by a 32 foot right of way and a 50 foot right of way, a 16. 2) That relief from the maintenance agreement as the right of way is 17. currently being sed for access by others. Tt was pointed out that the 18 . road was very old and is being maintained by Commissioner Pinney, who is 19 . an adjoining property owner. 20 . Commissioner Pinney asked to be excused from voting on this plat as 21. he is an adjoini g property owner. This permission was granted. 22. Commissioner Walker moved that the plat of Jean Andrews Earnhardt be 23. approved with the two requested variances , 24. The Board discussed whose responsibility it is to Maintain the privat 25. road. Commissio er Pinney suggested that in the future, no variances 26. regarding the ` ro d be granted. 27. Commissioner Whitted seconded the motion of Commissioner Walker. 28. The Chairma� called for a vote on the motion and voting aye were 29 . Commissioners Gu taveson, Whitted, Walker, and Willhoit. The motion was 30 . declared passed.
