Item 11: the Manager recommends the budget amendments shown in <br /> 4. the agenda attachment be approved. <br /> 5. The Agenda attachment indicated changes relating to the School Bond <br /> 6 . issue, a further distribution of funds previously appropriated for Central <br /> 7. Dispatch, additional funds for liability insurance, and increased revenues <br /> S. and appropriations for the Housing Authority and the South Orange Fire <br /> 9 . District. The Finance Director indicated two addition changes which will <br /> 10. effect the Contingency Fund. 1) The industrial sewer project with the <br /> 11. Town of Hillsbo ough, and 2) the $7 ,600 allocation to the Board of Rlectio <br /> 12. which will bring the Contingency Fund balance to $47,322 . <br /> 13. Commission r Walker raised the question of where the money will come <br /> 14 , from to have the County Attorney look into a possible suit against those <br /> 15 . signers of the challenges . <br /> 16 . The Financ Officer stated this money would come from the $50 ,000 <br /> 17. budgeted for le lal services. it was pointed out that the only separate <br /> 18 . budgeted . alloca ion for legal services is for the Title IV-D Program. <br /> 19 . Upon motion of Commissioner Pinney, seconded by Commissioner Gustaves <br /> 20. it was moved and adopted to approve the budget amendment, which includes <br /> 21. the two allocations from the Contingency Fund. <br /> 22. (Insert Bu get Amendment) <br /> 23. Item 12 : Continued discussion of bids for small trucks. <br /> 24. The agenda attachment stated the staff feels the best overall buy <br /> 25 . shown on the bid results is the Toyota even though it is not the low bid, <br /> 26. It is difficult to document this position, however. The Consumer Report <br /> 27. has not rated small trucks anytime recently. The staff has not been able <br /> 28. to locate any life cycle cost information relating to overall operational <br /> 29 . cost of these vehicles . <br /> 30 . In response to a question raised by Commissioner Pinney at an earlier <br /> meeting, Mr. Gatpis stated that all 4 cyclinders Toyotas did have overhead <br />
