F. <br /> IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT the Orange County Board <br /> of C:o issioners reaffirm the purpose of the Open Meetings Law <br /> and the public policy of the State of North Carolina and declare <br /> that all commissions, committees , boards, councils and other <br /> bodies , whether governmental or advisory, over which the Board <br /> of Commissioners have jurisdiction and authority shall conduct <br /> all of their official meetings in strict compliance with the <br /> provisions of the Open Meetings Law to the end that the business <br /> of the people be conducted openly. <br /> IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED THAT as to those commissions , <br /> committees , boards , councils and other bodies whether governments <br /> or advisory over which the Board of Commissioners have no juris- <br /> diction or authority but which bodies exist to conduct the bus- <br /> iness Of the people of Grange County, the Board of Commissioners <br /> urge a d encourage their strict compliance with the provisions <br /> of the open Meetings Law to the end that the business of the <br /> people be conducted openly. <br /> This resolution is effective upon its passage. <br /> Thereupon, Commissioner Norman Walker moved <br /> the passage of the foregoing resolution and Commissioner <br /> Norman Gustaveson seconded the motion.
