rage 13 <br /> ARTICLE III: DEPARTIJENT OY RECREATION AND PARKS <br /> SECTION XVIII : CREATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF RECREATION AND PARKS <br /> There is hereby created a department t-o be known as the Department of Recreation and Parks, <br /> which shall, function directly under the 'Manager ,of the County of� Orange . <br /> �E�TIQN�IX� RRA�IO1 ANA-P I KS DL �Rfi RNA-+PQWEIiS AN-A-7.7I3TI"ES <br /> The Department of Recreation and Parks shall have complete supervision of the structures , <br /> areas , and all activities conducted on or connected with- the parks., playgrounds , water areas, <br /> athletic fields , recreation centers , and other recreation facilities which- are provided , shall <br /> have the power to conduct any wholesome fora of recreation or cultural activity on or about these <br /> premises , stall have the power to develop and enforce regulationls as -to use and as .to fees and <br /> r <br /> charges for areas, structures or activities of the department ,///,end the power to enter into <br /> con.tractural. agreements with allied or associate ° agencies for//joint utilization of facilities . <br /> SECTION XX: DIRECTOR OF RECREATION -AND PARKS <br /> s <br /> f <br /> The position of Director of Recreation, and Parks, is loreby created . The executive for the <br /> r <br /> department shall be the Directoz of Recreation and Parks for the unit who shall, also , work with <br /> the Kanager as one of his department heads . The Directok of Recreation and Parks may be either <br /> i <br /> a full--time og part-time employee, in the discretion of the Orange County Board of Commissioners , <br /> Candidates for the position as Director of Recrea ion and Parks shall , upon interviews with <br /> the Manager and the Executive Board of the Recreation nd Parks Council, be nominated for selection <br /> and employment , such person being in the opinion of t e Manager and the Council 'Executives , fully <br />
