Bow, .for the -purpo.se of .this ordinance, means the County Hoard of Commissioners . <br /> Council.,. for the purpose of. this ordinance,. -means the Advisory Recreation Body to the Department <br /> Manager and Governing Body. <br /> SECTION IV: POWERS, GENERAL <br /> It is tbe;. basic function of the_.. Recreation Council t.o promote recreation for its citizens ani <br /> in so doing,,. Ithe Department of...,Recreation and Parks. and.. its Council are authorized to aid and <br /> assist. agencies (in line with reasonable and legally correct policies recommended by the Recreat: <br /> Council and accepted by the unit) which include public ; private ; commercial. ; those which are <br /> quasi-public in character , and which, although -public in nature, are not- under the unit 's govern' <br /> , churches ,- hospitals ,. military installations , orphanages., commercial <br /> ing body (suet. as schools <br /> recreation, business and industrial_ agencies) ; as well. as civic , neighborhood and service groups <br /> in their recreation interests and needs ._ <br />
