Mr. Jennin s reported to the Board that the Belk-Leggett--Horton <br /> g. Department Stor building in Chapel Hill is for sell. The 31, 000 square <br /> 10. foot, two sto y structure it- to be sold at a price of $700,000 provided <br /> 11. time is given fir an appraisal . Mr. Jennings stated that another govern- <br /> 12. mental body was interested in buying the building and will make a decisioi <br /> 13. very soon. <br /> 14. The questi n was raised of Mr. Jennings concerning the financial <br /> 15. arrangements. <br /> 16. Mr. Jennings stated that he would need to consult with his client, <br /> however, he fel a 200 <br /> 17. $ ,000 dawn payment with $100, 000 per year for five <br /> 18 . yew's, plus int rest, could be arranged. <br /> 19 . The County Manager pointed out to the Board that there were money <br /> 20 , problems, problems of determining the use and the problems of financing <br /> 21 renovation of the building for County office space use. <br /> 22. Commissione Gustaveson suggested the County Manager talk with Kirk <br /> 23, Jenne, Chapel Hill Town Manager, regarding the possibility of so _e joint <br /> 24. City-County Off.i a Building.
