AGENDA ATTACHMENT III <br /> A budge amendment is required to provide the matching portion of the <br /> LEAA grant fir a shelter home. This portion totals $1,875 for the first <br /> nine months lr 5% of the total of $37,500. Commissioner Pinney has proposed <br /> that the non Ifederal share come from the funds provided by the State Depart- <br /> ment of Human Resources for community based alternative programs. This grant <br /> is for $8,560 and requires a local match of $2,568. He has further proposed <br /> (and reviewed with the Youth Services Task Force) that the remainder be used <br /> to purchase a van for the shelter home. <br /> To summarize: <br /> LE A-- Shelter Home <br /> Grant (9months) 35,625 <br /> Loral (9months) 1,875 <br /> vailable for home 37,500 <br /> Human Resources <br /> Grant 8,560 <br /> Local 2,568 <br /> Less-LEAA Match (1,875) <br /> vailable for van 9,253 <br /> A proposed budget amendment is attached to effect these changes. Also <br /> included are the items relating to the change in the Mental Health Center <br /> Contract as proposed at the last meeting, It is recommended that the source <br /> of these funds be the County Building Fund rather than a reduction in the <br /> contingency. The effect of this is that the amount to be made available <br /> for county buildings in future years' budgets is increased. <br />
