CO.?Tf:ACT U. <br /> 1,1l[.S CONTRACT is made anti entered iota this day <br /> of , 1 7 by and between t1le County of Orange, <br /> here ir�ter r ferred to as the "PURCHASEP1 anti <br /> a corporation 11 ►vi n� its principal <br /> office at �_ / r d doing; business in <br /> ��---f � <br /> North Carotin through a, agent at <br /> hereinafter referred to as the "VE-DOR": <br /> u'HEREAS, the URCHASER desires to purchase Emergency Power <br /> Generators for, its lay: enforcement agencies which will be <br /> compatible with its existing systems needs within the state's <br /> communication plan.; and <br /> L:fIEREA5, the UP.CF}ASER, through the Regional Planning Agency, <br /> has made application to the Governor's Committee on Law and <br /> Order of the State of North Carolina for a grant of federal <br /> funds under the Lacs Enforcement Assistance Act to finance the <br /> purchase of Entergency Power Generators; and <br /> WHEREAS, the URCHASER advertised the invitation-for-bids on <br /> Emergency Pow r for Remotely Located Communication Equi.pmeat <br /> dated May 18, 1977; and <br /> 1;11HEREAS, the NDOR submitted a bid and proposal (the same <br /> being the lowest responsible bid submitted) pursuant to <br /> said advertised solicitation for the sale to the PURCII1'15ER <br /> of an Emergency Power for Remo$ely Located Communication <br /> Equipment for a total cost of. i S as follows: <br /> TOTAL EQIJIP.•IENT COST_ <br /> TOTAL INSTALLATION COST U J <br /> TOTAL ,0,TNTENANCE COST `7,E*- <br /> (NORTH CAROLINA SALES TAY IS NOT included in the <br /> above prices but will be included in invoices.) <br /> NOW THEREFORE the parties -hereto mutually contract and agree <br /> as follows: <br /> (1) SALE C}t E UIPXEtiT: the VENDOR does hereby sell to the <br /> PURCHASER the equipment lasted in Exhibit E (detailed equipment <br /> List attached hereto and made a part hereof), completely in- <br /> stalled, and will -maintain said equipment for a period of one <br /> year from the expiration of warranty or from the date of system <br /> acceptance whichever sball be later, as specified and provided <br /> herein and in the INVITATION FOR BIDS, instructions to bidders, <br /> plans and specifications as issued ou _�_�2 by the <br /> PURCHASER,_ and other 'J.e:tt^rs of transm a! and corres pont"Lence <br /> associated with said bid documents all of .which are incorporated <br /> herein by ref rence.
