[!i1.1h i <br /> Absent: None <br /> The following resolution was read to the Board: <br /> PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT RESOLUTION FOR THE FINANCING <br /> BY ORANGE COUNTY OF A PORTION OF THE LOCAL SHARE <br /> OF THE COSTS OF PAVING BAYBERRY DRIVE, AZALEA DRI'V'E, <br /> AND AZALEA PLACE, ROADS LOCATED IN SECTION I OF <br /> MORGAN CREEK HILLS SUBDIVISION, IN CHAPEL HILL TOWNSHIP, <br /> ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> WHEREAS the Board of County Commissioners of Orange <br /> County has received a petition requesting the paving of Bayberry <br /> Drive, Azalea Drive, and Azalea Place, roads in Section I of <br /> Morgan Creek Hills Subdivision, in Chapel Hill Township, <br /> Orange County, North Carolina, which petition has been signed <br /> by at least seventy--five percent (75%) of the owners of <br /> property adjoining the said roads, which property represents <br /> at least seventy-five percent (75%) of the lineal feet of <br /> frontage of the lands abutting the said road[s] , Bayberry Drive, <br /> Azalea Drive, and Azalea Place, pursuant to North Carolina <br /> General Statute 9153A-205(c) ; and <br /> WHEREAS the Board of County Commissioners of Orange <br /> County has elected to finance a portipn of the local share <br /> of the costs of paving the said road[s] , as permitted by <br /> North Carolina General Statute 9153A--195 (4) and as provided <br /> for in North Carolina General Statute §153A-205 b; <br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED THAT: <br /> 1.
