AUTHORITP,
P..O,B"356]Csrrbom,North Carc lire: 275 1 U
August 30, 1977
Mr. Fred Hazard
119 North Col mbia Street
Chapel Hill , orth Carolina 27514
Re: Request for Sewer Service
Proposed Southern Professional Center
Dear Mr. Haza
We have viewed your request for sewer service for the proposed Professional
Center in Oran]e County off U. S. 15-501 near its intersection with Smith Level
Road south of arrboro. The estimated wastewater discharge of 5,000 gallons per
day for the fi -st phase of the Center and a discharge of 15,000 gallons per day
within three t five years is in line with the volume of wastewater generated by
this type development.
This initial 5,000 gallons per day can be accepted into the Orange dater
and Sewer Auth rity collection system with an extension of the Heritage Hills
gravity system by the developer. Any discharge in excess of 5,000 CPD would have
to be evaluatel to determine the remaining capacity of the heritage Hills lift
station. Presently, under the Sewer Allocation Policy, sewer capacity (5,000
gallons) will a available in either 1978 or 1979 assuming that all of the re-
quirements pursuant to the Allocation Policy are met. Also, the allocations are
assigned on a First cone, first serve basis, therefore, it is necessary that all
requirements WASH, local , county and state) be resolved at an early date in
order to assur the developer of an allocation in either 1978 or 1979.
If l can ie of further service, please advise.
Sincerely,
Wayne Munden
Chief Engineer
cc: Suellen B aul 'eu
Eddie Kir
Ronald Wi liamson
June Sib? y
/bpe
