Ronald Aycock, Executive Director RE: alloting on enclosed Resolution Regarding econsideration of House Bill 658 (File and se Insurance Rates) At the recent 70th Annual Conference of the Association, the enclosed r solution was submitted to the Resolutions Committee (the Association Board acted as the Resolutions Committee) , The resolution was not approved by the resolutions committee. At the Ann al. Business Session, under the provisions of Article V ection 1 (c) of the Association Constitution, the sponso of the resolution proposed that the issue be submitted o a re€rendum of the counties , By a majority vote, the ubmission of the issue to a referendum passed. Article V ection l (c) of the Association Constitution provides a follows : (C) "A Committee on resolutions to consist of not less than three county officials to be appointed and announced by the President, of the first session of the annual meeting. All. r solutions presented to the Association at the - a nual meeting shall. automatically be referred t the committee for consideration and report hereon before final. adjournment. Any resolution disapproved by the committee may, by a majority v' to of the Association, be submitted immediately a ter final adjournment by the Secretary-Treasurer to a referendum of the counties of the State . The rEsult of the referendum shall determine the policy o the Association thereon. " Please re t rn the enclosed resolution ballot marked for your county' s vote on the issue to the Association offices by September 30, 1977.
