Because a q orum of Advisory Council members was not present, the election of officers was postponed. The ;Major public and private actors whosa decisions directly or indirectly affect land use and the nature 3f their decision or stake: were identified. Finally, the results of the checklist which ranked protection of farms, conflicts b green farming and other uses and too much development as the high st priorities were discussed. September 1 - The initial council meeting in Hillsborough Township wa held, attended by twenty people. As in other first meetings, Me role of the Advisory Councils was discussed and communities within the township were identified. Many of those people atte ding the meeting resided. within Hillsborough's one-mile jurisdictio , so the state enabling legislation regarding extra-- territorial jurisdiction was discussed. Additional names of township -residents were also suggested for the Council list. Also o the calendar for September are the following meetings: Septe er 8 - Bozo Township second meeting; nominations of Council members through a balloting process, slide show on land classification, community problem identification checklist. September 13 - Cheeks Township second meeting; election of officers, discussion of the planning process, slide show, checklist, discussion of how land use decisions are made. Septm ber 15 - Bingham Township - fourth meeting - election of officers, iscussi.on of planning tools, discussion of subdivision regulation . Septe er 20 - Cedar Grove Township, first meeting. September 22 -- Little Raver Township, first meeting. Septenber 26 - Chapel. Hill. Township, first meeting.
