l. - Executive Session <br /> 2. The County Attorney :informed the Board that a Mr. Moody, owner of a <br /> 3-mobile home par had called Rural Electrical Association (REA) for a servi <br /> 4-hook-up. REA had informed Mr. Moody that he would need an electrical in- <br /> 5 -spection by the County Inspector. Mr. Moody had then replied that if REP_ <br /> 6 -did not connect his power„ he would sue REA. <br /> 7. Mr. Gledhill- stated that the County would be involved in a law suit i <br /> 8-Mr. Moody did take legal action. He added that he is presently in the prc <br /> 9-cess of researching the Commissioners ' minutes to understand the County's <br /> 10 -position regarding the inspection of mobile homes , <br /> 11- Mr. Ross, General Manager of REA, stated that his company did not wan <br /> 12 -a law suit with Mr. Moody. He stated that all electrical service in the <br /> 13-County requires an inspection, and that Mr. Moody had been told by REA tha <br /> 14 -if a trailor is moved outside a perimeter an inspection is required. <br /> 15- Mr. Ross r ferred to correspondence from the County Manager and from <br /> 16-the Planning Di ector which stated that electrical inspections were requir <br /> 17-by 'the County` i � spect6r before electricity is turned on. Mr. Ross has sin <br /> 18-talked with the County Manager regarding this matter with Mr. Moody and ha <br /> 19 -been referred tc the County Attorney. Mr. Ross stated that he would like <br /> 20-know where the County stands regarding inspections of mobile homes. <br /> 21. Mr. Gledhill stated that Ordinances dealing with building and <br /> 22-electrical inspections have been adopted over a period of _years and needed <br /> 23-to be reviewed before giving an answer as to the County's position. <br /> 24 • Commissioner Gustaveson stated that the Planning Office would be awar <br /> 25 -of changes regarding building and electrical codes. <br /> 26 • Mr. Gledhill stated that an ordinance which was adopted years ago may <br /> 27-not give this Board the authority which they once thought they had. He a <br /> 28-that he wanted to find out if recent laws have changed and if that power <br /> 29- - still.-exist. He asked Mr. Ross to not hoo up the electricity for Mr. <br /> 30-Moody until Wednesday. <br />
