If <br /> 4.2.2 Rural Residential (R-1) District <br /> a) Intent <br /> The purpose of the Rural Residential (R-1) District is to <br /> provide locations for rural non-farm residential develop- <br /> ment, at very low intensities, in areas where the short and <br /> long-term solutions to domestic water supply and sewage <br /> disposal shall be individual wells and ground absorption <br /> system„ <br /> b) Application Criteria <br /> This district will. usually be applied where the following <br /> Conditions exist. <br /> 1. Designated by the adopted Land Use Plan as Rural Residential <br /> 2. Urban services, including water distribution and sewage <br /> collection mains are not likely within 10-20 years. <br /> 4.2.3 Low And Medium Intensity Residential (R-2, R-3) Districts <br /> a) intent <br /> The purpose of the low and medium Intensity Residential <br /> (R-2, R-3) Districts is to provide locations for low and <br /> moderate intensity residential development and supporting <br /> recreational, community service and educational uses in <br /> areas where urban services are available or are to be <br /> provided as part of the development process. <br /> b) Application Criteria <br /> This district will usually be applied where the following <br /> conditions exist- <br /> 1. Designated by the adopted land Use Plan as a Transition <br /> Area, which can reasonably be expected to be annexed by a <br /> municipality in the ensuing 10-20 years. <br /> 2. Residential development would be in a Land Use Intensity <br /> range of 24-30 <br /> 3. Water and sewer lines should exist at site or be assured <br /> of installation as part of the development process. <br /> 4.
