22.9 Definitions Pertaining To Land Use <br /> 22.9.1 gonafide Farm <br /> The use of land for farming me�etiing one of the following <br /> criteria: <br /> 1) Composing five or more acres on one or more tracts owned or <br /> leased by the bonafide farm unit: <br /> 2) Average annual sales of $1,000 for the preceding three <br /> years; or a minimum of ten acres of forest land for which <br /> a management plan has been prepared. <br /> 22,.9.2 Farman <br /> The use of land primarily for one or more of the following: <br /> The production in th.e open of cash grains, field crops, <br /> vegetables, melons: fruit's, berries poultrysfor the sale <br /> or keeping of general livestock and po <br /> oultry for the t <br /> of such livestock and ptry- F arming oincludes <br /> the breeding of such livestock and poulltry. <br /> any buildings or structures which are customarily incidental <br /> or subordinate to the farming activities listed above, <br /> including residences for the owners, operators or employees <br /> of the farm and their families. General livestock and <br /> poultry includes those animals involved which are customarily <br /> and traditionally raised on farms, such as beef and dairy <br /> cattle, hogs, sheep, goats, rabbits and horses, mules, <br /> pofties, chickens, turkeys, ducks, and geese for the purpose <br /> listed above. Farming does not include agricultural services <br /> and processing, avocational farming, specialized commercial <br /> horticulture, and specialized commercial animal husbandry. <br /> 22.9.3 Avocational-Farman <br /> The use of land for those activities which constitute <br /> general farming on less than five acres or sales less than <br /> $l,000 for the preceding three years or less than ten acres <br /> of .forest land for which a management plan has been prepared <br /> The use of the land for the raising and keeping of <br /> reptiles, etc., or the propogation of ornamental plants, <br /> fruits and vegetables in a manner which does not constitute <br /> specialized animal husbandry or specialized horticulture. <br /> Avocational farming does not include home gardening or the <br /> keeping of pets, both of which are allowed in any zone. Those <br /> uses are customarily accessory uses to the primary <br /> the land. <br /> 2226 <br />
