ARTI= 22. DEFINITIONS <br /> 22.0 Definitions <br /> For the purpose of this Ordinance, certain terms or words <br /> used herein shall be interpreted as follows: <br /> w <br /> 22.1 Definitions Pertainin To Gra natical Usa e <br /> 22.1.1 The word "shall" is always mandatory. <br /> 22.1.2 The word "Occupied" and the e word"-used" Shall be considered <br /> as though followed by the <br /> designed to be used or 0ccuupied." <br /> 22.1..9 Terms not herein defined shall have the meanings customarily <br /> assigned to them. <br /> 22.2 Definiticns pertainin To Streets <br /> Far the purposes of these regulations, terms relating to <br /> streets are defined as followed- Determination of the <br /> classification of a street shall be by <br /> criteria: <br /> 1) The classification shall be based upon the projected <br /> volume of traffic to be carried by tie street, state-d j, <br /> terms of the number of trips per day; <br /> 2) The number of dwelling units to be served by the street may <br /> be as a useful indicator of the number of trips but is not <br /> conclusive; <br /> 3)° Whenever a subdivision street continues an existing street <br /> that formerly terminated outside the subdivision or it is <br /> expected that a subdivision street will be continued beyond <br /> the subdivision at some future time, the classification of <br /> the street will be based upon the street in its entirety, <br /> both within and outside of the subdivision. <br /> 22.2.1 Street ' <br /> A vehicular why (which may also serve in part as a way for <br /> pedestrian traffic), the location Of utilities installations <br /> and landscaping, whether called street, highway, road, avenue, <br /> boulevard, lane, place, alley, mall or otherwise. <br /> 22-1 <br />
