ARTICLE 20. Fi�fFS AN�NPS <br /> 20..1 statement of Intent <br /> For the uwse of establishing and nd maintaining sound, stabler <br /> and desirable development within Orange County this ordinance <br /> shall not be amended except to correct a maniCOn iti�ns in a e <br /> ordinance or, because of changed or changing ta conditions <br /> an area, <br /> particular area or in the County generally,districts or to <br /> extend the boundary of an existing zoning <br /> change the regulations and restrictions thereof, and then, <br /> only as reasonably necessary to the promotion of the public <br /> or health, safety,eadoptedeComgrehenszverPIaan or part the eof� <br /> i <br /> 20.2 Amendment Initiation <br /> Subject to the limitations of the foregoing Statement of <br /> Intent, an amendment to this ordinance may be initiated by: <br /> a) The Board of County Commissioners on its own motion; <br /> b) The Planning Board; <br /> c) Application, by any person or agent. <br /> 20.3 Procedure For Amendment A lication <br /> 20.3.1 Filing of Applications: All applications for amendments to <br /> this ordinance shall be in writing, signed and filed, one copy <br /> with the County Manager for presentation to the Hoard of <br /> County Commissioners and two copies with the Zoning Officer. <br /> (For Planned Development amendments, See Article 7). <br /> 20.3,2 contents of Application: All applications for amendments <br /> to this ordinance, without limiting the right to file <br /> additional material, shall contain at least the following: <br /> a) if the proposed amendment would require a change in the <br /> Zoning Atlas, a fully dimensioned map at a scale <br /> tof the not inch less <br /> than one hundred feet nor more than twenty feet proposed <br /> showing the land which would be covered by <br /> amendment. <br /> b) A legal description of such land. <br /> c) The alleged error its this ordinance, if any, which would be <br /> corrected by the proposed amendment with a detailed explana- <br /> tion of such error in the ordinance and detailed reasons <br /> how the proposed amendment will correct same, <br /> 20-1 <br />
