b) PD-C(N): Planned Development Commercial (Neighborhood) districts <br /> are intended to be built around a supermarket as the major use, <br /> and to provide for the sale of convenience goods, for provision <br /> of personal services, and for other frequent needs of a trade <br /> area with a population of 1-4,DOD within approximately 5-10 <br /> minutes driving time. <br /> Access. PD-C(N) centers shall be located only with direct <br /> access to, and focused on the intersection o€, streets of a <br /> collector or more intensive use category, or on suitable <br /> frontage roads adjacent to such streets. Access from minor <br /> streets is prohibited, except where such access would not <br /> encourage through traffic on such streets. <br /> c) PD-c(C) : Planned Development Commercial (Community) districts <br /> are intended to be built,.around a junior department store or <br /> substantial variety store as the major tenant, in addition to <br /> a supermarket. Such centers, which do not usually have a full- <br /> line department store, normally serve a trade area population <br /> of 10-25,000, within 15-20 minutes driving time. <br /> Access. PD-C(C) centers shall. be located only with direct <br /> access to, and focused on intersections Of streets of an <br /> arterial or more intensive use category, or on suitable <br /> frontage roads adjacent to such streets. such centers may <br /> have secondary access to collector streets. Isccess from <br /> minor streets is prohibited, except where such access would <br /> not encourage through traffic on such streets. <br /> d) PD-C(G): Planned Development commercial (General) districts <br /> are intended to be built around a full line department store, <br /> in addition to a supermarket and superdrug store. <br /> Access. PD-C(G) centers shall be located only with direct access <br /> to, and focused on intersections of streets of an arterial or <br /> more intensive use category, or on suitable frontage roads ad- <br /> jacent to such streets. such centers may have secondary access <br /> to collector streets. Access from minor streets is prohibited, <br /> except where such access would not encourage through -traffic on <br /> such streets. <br /> e) PD-C(R): Planned Development Commercial (Regional) Shopping <br /> Center districts are intended to be built around one or more <br /> full line department stores and to serve a trade population of <br /> 125,000-150,000 or more within 25 minutes driving time. <br /> Access. ED-C(RSC) districts shall be located only at inter- <br /> sections of freeways or at the intersections of arterial <br /> streets and controlled access roads or along suitable front <br /> age roads adjacent to such streets, if near interchanges. <br /> Access from local streets is prohibited, except where such <br /> access would not encourage through traffic on such streets. <br /> 7-19 <br /> i <br /> i <br />
