Services <br /> DATE: November 11, 1980 _ <br /> RE» FIXED ASSET POLICY <br /> Attached is the proposed Fixed Asset policy with a sesolu~IOU that <br /> I am asking you to submit to the Board of Commissioners for their consid- <br /> eration and approval. The major' provisions of.this policy are as foil-ows: <br /> First, it requires Commissioners' approval during the budget process to <br /> place art item into a c a equipment account so that it can be purchased; <br /> to ch ging circumstances, <br /> Second, if a department feels that due an the <br /> money allocated to one particular, piece of equipment may be better spent <br /> on another item, the r3epartment must receive Commissioners' approval; <br /> another <br /> Third, that it will institute a new computer Fixed Asset System which <br /> should alleviate some of the record, keeping problems we now have; Finally, <br /> it raises the minimum amount for a fixed asset from $50.00 to $100,.00 to <br /> more truly reflect current market conditions. <br /> If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give me a call. <br />
