Mr.
Shanklin felt Mr. Carter or Mr. Phelps could indicate where the gravesites'az
located. He stated that the newest gravesite is around 1860' or 189D
and the oldest is rumored to be English soldiers killed in the revoluntary
war.
Mr. Jack Phelps, who represented Mr. Carter, spoke to the Board, saying he
had found no evidence of a cemetery. in eeference to the minimum lot size,
i the lots comply with the subdivision ordinance_ Concerning protective
covenants, he said that had been discussed and that they could be drawn
up. The question of an incorrect property line is a question for the courts
to decide, Mr.-Phelps said. Mr. Shanklin produced a 1958 survey of the
property showing what he felt was the correct property line_
Mr. Polatty presented staff recommendations concerning the points under
question.
