3. <br /> 1� <br /> ADDENDUM continued) -2- <br /> B. to assist the Director of the Department in planning <br /> and developing a unified and coordinated "County Aging <br /> Plan" in terms of policies , services and facilities in <br /> consultation with the Area Agency on Aging of the <br /> Region J Council of Governments and the North Carolina <br /> Division of Aging; <br /> 9. to have such other potters and duties as the Board of <br /> County Commissioners may from time to time assign. <br /> B. Composition, Appointment, Term of Office: <br /> 1 . The Senior Citizens Board should consist of nine (9) <br /> citizens of the County, five (5) of whom (a majority) <br /> should be persons sixty (60) years of age or over. <br /> 2. The Board should be appointed by the County Com- <br /> missioners . It is recommended that the County Commission- <br /> ers appoint one (1) person from among its own members; at <br /> least two (2) persons who are residents of the Town <br /> of Chapel Hill ; at least one (1 ) person who is resident <br /> of the Town of Carrboro; at least one (1) person who is <br /> resident of the Town of Hillsborough. The remaining <br /> four (4) members to be appointed, at large, with consid- <br /> eration given to representation from non-urban areas of <br /> the County. <br /> 3. 'The term of service on the Board should be for three (3) <br /> years with provision for one-third (1/3) of the terms to <br /> expire on June 30 of each year, except for the person <br /> also serving as a County Commissioner whose service should <br /> be concurrent with the term of office as a County <br />
