Approximately fifty-five (55) percent of the cost of paving the <br /> above roads will be borne by the Department of Transportation of the'r^ <br /> state of North Carolina,. <br /> 2, The basis for assessment for the local share of <br /> the cost of this project shall be the cost to Orange County per linear <br /> foot of street frontage, including County administrative expenses and <br /> attorney's fees, <br /> 3, Orange County will assess the total local share according to the <br /> basis set out in Number 2 above which local share represents approximately <br /> forty-five (45) percent of the total project cost. <br /> 4. No assessments of this project will be held in abeyance. <br /> 5, The assessment shall be paid in the following manner: <br /> a. Within thirty (30) days after the Notice of Confirmation <br /> of the Assessment Role is published, each owner of the property may <br /> pay his/her assessment in full. <br /> b. Any assessment not paid in full as provided above shall <br /> i <br /> be paid in five (5) equal annual installments with the first such <br /> i <br /> installment, with interest, due sixty (CO) days after the date that <br /> E <br /> I the Assessment Role is confirmed, and the remaining installment, <br /> with interest, due on the same date in each successive year until the <br /> i assessment is paid in full . <br /> ! 6. The County Manager is directed to determine the costs, including <br /> i <br /> County administrative expenses and attorney's fees and to prepare a <br /> i <br /> Preliminary Assessment Role which will contain a brief description of <br /> each lot, parcel or tract of land assessed, the basis for the assessment, <br /> ( the amount assessed against each, the terms of payment, and the name of <br /> E <br /> the owner of each lot, parcel or tract as far as this can be determined <br /> t <br /> from the County tax records. <br /> This Resolution is effective upon its passage. <br /> i Thereupon, on motion duly made and seconded, this Pesolution was <br /> passed by the following vote: <br /> Commissioners Walker, Willhoit, Barnes, Whined and <br /> Ayes: <br /> Gustaveson <br /> Noes: None <br /> E <br /> I <br /> -2- <br />
