' AGENDA ITEM <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> Pursuant to Article 20, Chapter 160A of the North <br /> Carolina General Statutes the Board of Commissioners of <br /> Orange County, by motion duly made and seconded hereby resolve <br /> on behalf of Orange County to contract and agree with the <br /> Town of Carrboro, the Town of Chapel Hill and the Town of <br /> Hillsborough to provide for centralized and systematized collection <br /> of property t xes in Orange County via a joint tax collection <br /> system effective for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1978 and <br /> for taxes charged to the County Tax Collector for the collection <br /> year beginning September 1, 1978 . By this resolution the Board <br /> hereby ratifies the operation of the joint tax. collection system <br /> pursuant to the contract entered into on this day for the tax <br /> collection years beginning September 1 , 1978 and September 1, <br /> 1979. <br /> It is further resolved that the Chairman is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the County `the <br /> joint tax collection contract in quadruplicate originals . <br /> This the 8th day of April 19 80. <br /> I, Mary Lou Boule , Clerk to the Orange <br /> County Board 7f Commissioners, North Carolina, DO HEREBY CERTIFY <br /> that the foregoing is a true and complete copy of so much of the <br /> proceedings of the Board -for. said County at a meeting held <br /> April 8, 19 8q as relates to the resolution hereinabove <br /> set forth, and that said proceedings are recorded in Minute <br /> Book No. 12 of the minutes of the said Board. <br />
