E <br /> A meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Orange i <br /> County, North Carolina, was held at Hillsborough, North Carolina, <br /> the regular place of meeting at 10:00 O'clock A, M. , on the <br /> 8th day of Apri l _ , 19 80 . <br /> Present: Commissioners Richard Whitted, Anne Barnes <br /> Don Willhoit, Norman Gustaveson and Norman Walker <br /> Absent: None <br /> The following resolution was ,read to the Board: <br /> PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT RESOLUTION FOR THE FINANCING <br /> BY ORANGE COUNTY OF THE .LOCAL SHARE OF THE COSTS OF <br /> PAVING NORTH CAROLINA STATE ROAD #1878, ALSO KNOWN <br /> AS NEW HOPE DRIVE, IN CHAPEL HILL TOTgNSHIP, ORANGE <br /> COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA. <br /> WHEREAS the Board of County Commissioners of Orange <br /> - County has received a petition requesting the paving of North <br /> I <br /> Carolina State Road 111878, also known as New Hope Drive, <br /> I' in Chapel Hill Township, Orange County, North Carolina, <br /> �'. which petition has been signed by at least seventy--five percent <br /> i <br /> ('75%) of the Lineal feet of frontage of the lands abutting <br /> i the said roads, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute <br /> §153-205 (c) ; and <br /> s <br /> WHEREAS the Board of County Commissioners of Orange <br /> Countv has elected to finance the local share of the costs <br /> of paving the said roads, as permitted by North Carolina General <br /> Statute §153A-185(4) and as provided for in North <br /> Carolina General Statute y153A-205(a) . <br /> »RNHOLZ <br /> AT IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED THAT: <br /> LL„I C <br /> c� `C 1.
