21 <br /> Report on the Orange County Road Naming and House Numbering Program <br /> Section 3: PROCEDURE CONT1INUED <br /> (1) A Road Naming Advisory Committee would be appointed by the <br /> i <br /> Commissioners. Membership on this Committee would be open <br /> to the public with a special effort made to recruit emergency <br /> and postal service representatives, The Committee's charge <br /> would be to propose official names for all public, state- <br /> maintained roads, <br /> (2) 'The Committee Mill research road names shown on Orange <br /> County Tax Maps and the Department of Transportation State <br /> Road List. <br /> (3) The Committee will conduct Local Information nMeeetinngss to <br /> provide citizens the opportunity to suggest <br /> and comment on names proposed by the Committee. <br /> (4) Road name petitions will be made available to property <br /> owners who would like to suggest names for the roads <br /> on which their property fronts.
