Dr. Switzer will, of course, take her microscope with her when she leaves on January 31, 1980. There is no question about the necessity of our needing a microscope. Un- fortunately we have no money in an appropriate capital expenditure line. item. At the January 10, 1980, Board of Health meeting, the Board voted to request the Commissioners to transfer $1,800 for a microscope and a few minor other items attendant to the microscope from line item 10--641-02, which is our MCH Personnel account. The Board requests this money be transferred to line item 10-641W-74, which is the MCH equipment account. Ede presently project an unspent balance in the MCH Personnel account significantly larger than the requested transfer. We are on a short time line to obtain this equipment and would appreciate its placement on the soonest possible Coltmissioner agenda. Following such approval we would still have the delay of the purchasing procedure and the vendor delivery delay. Thank you for your prompt attention.
