Their current funding includes: <br /> Three(3) federal sources- <br /> UrITA Section 5 for operating costs on a 1:1 basis for a <br /> $75,000 total <br /> Title TIT - older Americans Act <br /> CETA - 100% Reimbursement for two(2) personnel <br /> TheACity of Greensboro, Guilford County and the United Way <br /> each contribute $25,000. Their total budget for this fiscal year <br /> is $213,000. <br /> There is a cost of $2. 66per one-way passenger trip to the <br /> system. Batched, individual, and service to the handicapped all <br /> cost more than this but they do not attempt to identify it. <br /> Their current private non-profit status gives them a certain <br /> degree of flexibility in both their internal and external dealings. <br /> Wages for their drivers are currently in the $3.20 to $3.50 an <br /> hour range. <br /> There is a broad spectrum of interests represented on their <br /> governing board with the possibility of driver representation in <br /> the near future. The County often acts as broker or coordinator <br /> in dealings between GATE, human service organizations, and the <br /> Board. <br /> Currently, 20%-25% of trips involve nutrition sites, 35%-40% <br /> medical and the remainder among social services, mental health, <br /> and services to the deaf,. <br />
