(Replacing Ms. Deborah Fulghieri) <br /> POSITION NO. NAME SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE EXPIRATION DATE <br /> 1 Ms. Deborah Harris Chapel Hill ETJ 06/30/2018 <br /> NOTE - If the individuals listed above are appointed, the following vacancies remain: <br /> • *Position #2--- "Chapel Hill JPA" position ----- expiring 06/30/2017. (this position has <br /> been vacant for more than 6 months) <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Board will consider making an appointment to the Chapel Hill <br /> Planning Commission. <br /> ADDITIONAL BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Town of Chapel Hill is currently <br /> considering its options for ETJ/JPA membership on advisory boards and is expected to bring <br /> forward a text amendment to the Joint Planning Agreement for joint public hearing in October. <br /> The Joint Planning Agreement requires that the Town's planning board and board of adjustment <br /> include at least one resident from the Town's JPA "Transition Area". In addition, State law <br /> requires at least one member from a Town's ETJ area. The Town of Chapel Hill recently <br /> changed over 1 ,000 acres of its JPA Transition Area to ETJ in the vicinity of Rogers Road and <br /> is concerned that, because only 274 acres of JPA Transition Area remain, recruiting advisory <br />
