I am Masters prepared with continuous <br /> participation in educational workshops every year approximately 30-40 hours per year. I teach a <br /> class at the Duke School of Nursing. I function as a Preceptor for Nurses training to become <br /> Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. In the long session of the GA 2013, 1 lobbied heavily to <br /> defeat HB 181. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> My reason for seeking out the At Large position with the Board of Health, is to provide the <br /> Board with my healthcare expertise and be a fair representative of the residents of Orange <br /> County. Children and the elderly, are just 2 populations at risk of not receiving adequate basic <br /> healthcare and with the changes that have occurred with Medicaid and Medicare it is important <br />
