2 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> PROCLAMATION OF RECOGNITION ON <br /> CARRBORO HIGH SCHOOL WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM <br /> WINNING THE 2015 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP <br /> WHEREAS, on May 30, 2015, the Carrboro High School Women's Soccer Team <br /> captured the North Carolina High School Athletic Association's <br /> (NCHSAA) 2A State Women's Soccer Championship; and, <br /> WHEREAS, under the guidance of Coach Jared Drexler, the Carrboro High <br /> School Women's Soccer Team earned its second NCHSAA State <br /> title, also winning the State title in 2012; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Lady Jaguars completed the season with a 21-0-1 record, giving <br /> up only two goals the entire season, earning an NCHSAA record for <br /> the fewest goals allowed in a season; and, <br /> WHEREAS, through hard work, dedication, teamwork, and commitment, the <br /> Lady Jaguars brought honor upon themselves, Carrboro High <br /> School, the Chapel Hill / Carrboro City Schools District and Orange <br /> County; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it proclaimed that the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners expresses its sincere appreciation and respect for the <br /> Carrboro High School Women's Soccer Team and Coach Drexler <br /> for the Jaguars' outstanding achievement, and their inspiration to <br /> youth across North Carolina through their dedication, teamwork, and <br /> athletic prowess. <br /> This the 16th day of June 2015. <br /> Earl McKee, Chair <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />
