Orange County: Buckhorn Village <br />Throughout this report, comparisons are made between Orange County and a group of <br />counties similar in geographic location, economy, or position to a core urban area. Chatham, <br />Durham, Alamance, and Wake Counties are compared because they are adjacent to Orange <br />County and, therefore, share a workforce and a local economy. Johnston, and Cabarrus Counties <br />are included because they are similarly situated to core urban areas. Johnston County is adjacent <br />to Wake County and Cabarrus County is adjacent to Mecklenburg County. <br />Orange County is located on I-85 and I-40 in the Triangle region of North Carolina. The information to conduct the analysis was gathered from <br />Orange County and East West Partners, the project development group.
