The total tax value of the existing multiple (12) retail and hotel <br />establishments used in the comparative survey is $91,968,638 producing annual tax revenue of <br />$873,702. The Buckhorn Village project has the potential to individually exceed the tax revenue <br />of the existing 12 establishments combined. In terms of commercial development, the Buckhorn <br />Village project is a significant economic development project that will provide a significant <br />revenue impact to the County. <br />In addition to property tax revenue to Orange County, Efland Fire District will receive <br />property tax revenue for one year, after which the site will be annexed by the City of Mebane. <br />The tax revenue gain to Efland Fire District cannot be calculated at this time because it is <br />unknown what percentage of construction will be completed, and, therefore, taxable during the <br />one year it is in the district. However, the district will receive some new property tax revenue for <br />that one year. <br />Lodging Tax Analysis <br />There are two hotels planned for Buckhorn Village. Due to Orange County's lodging tax, <br />there will be lodging fees generated for the County. Based on 200 hotel rooms and an annual <br />Sanford Holshouser 9 <br />
