Consent Agenda 26 27 Removal of Any Items from Consent Agenda Commissioner Price removed item 28 6 -d, Strategic Communications Plan (SCP), for discussion. 29 30 Approval of Remaining Consent Agenda 31 A motion was made by Commissioner Burroughs, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs to 32 approve the remaining items on the consent agenda. 33 34 VOTE: UNANIMOUS 35 36 Discussion and Approval of the Items Removed from the Consent Agenda 37 Item 6 -d — Strategic Communications Plan (SCP) 38 Commissioner Price referred to page nine of the SCP, where a paragraph about 39 Audience Identification is discussed. She said she is struggling with the language of the 40 paragraph and wondered if it the paragraph was necessary. 41 Cheryl Young said when a communication strategy is considered, it is important that a 42 full list of the potential audience be included. She said sometime assumptions are made about 43 who may be interested in information. She said the intention of the paragraph is to offer a 44 listing to insure no one is left out. She said this puts a communication strategy in place that will 45 try and reach everyone. 46 Commissioner Price asked if this listing was a sort of hierarchy. She said in certain 47 situations other government officials would likely desire communications. She said perhaps she 48 is thinking mostly of emergency situations, and there may be separate protocol for those 49 events.
